I was looking for true work from home franchise opportunities online and was very disappointed with the type of results I got. In spite of the words ‘work from home’ being in the search term, most of the results were for franchises that required you to work outside your home.
I decided to include a couple of the results in case you did actually want to work out of home occasionally.
The first site was at entrepreneur.com. This website gives you the top 10 home based franchises for 2007. I hope you like cleaning because seven of the ten franchises listed require you to clean something or somewhere.
At another website, Franchise Advantage, there is a work from home franchise opportunities section that lists some true home based opportunities. Be aware though, there are a few that require you to work within the community.
I always knew franchises carried set up and annual fees but I was surprised at some of the figures required by some franchisors. I was also scared by what I thought would be a lot of work which would be required to make a return on the investment.
It’s not that I am allergic to hard work but with such good work at home internet businesses out there I’ll opt for a nice turnkey internet business without the all the hassle. This way I can spend time on what really matters to me.
This brings me back to my quest for the perfect work from home franchise opportunity.
It dawned on me that unless I specified a certain type of franchise that could be operated from home; I would continue to find irrelevant and general franchise deals. So I altered my search ‘Work From Home Franchise Opportunities’ to include the word computer and then internet.
The results were not much better. It seems that once the word franchise was in my search term I had to spend too much time sifting through all the results to see which one required me to work form home only.
In the end I reverted to searching for ‘work from home opportunities’ and avoided the word franchise. The results I got were more of what I wanted. For one thing I could stay at home with all of the opportunities and I did not need to re-mortgage my house to start up.
The work from home opportunities such as the ones found in the directory at http://www.xtradosh.com/ produce just as much and sometimes more income than some of the franchises available on the market, with a lot less work.
If you don’t want to leave your house….ever, that is very possible, plus you have benefits of earning money while you sleep and earning residual income.
Why not visit http://www.sanjen.com/ and see if any of the offers on that site could make your work at home and financial goals a reality.

One of the coolest websites I came across for a work from home computer business is EasyWebCreator.us.com.
There are two versions. The US site as listed above and the UK version is EasyWebCreator.com.
What I like about this site is that it offers you different businesses in a neat and easy to manage package. You can choose from property to e-books to an online recruitment agency.
Each work from home computer business has a ready made website created for you and the package includes complete set up and maintenance. From the word go you have total control of your business decisions. You decide how to market, what prices to set and when to amend your business information.
One thing that is not immediately obvious is whether or not you have a choice of website templates. It would not be wise from a marketing and positioning point of view to have the same storefront as hundreds of similar websites. EasyWebCreator has a telephone number, live help and a contact form, so they make it easy to contact the owners to clarify any info.
I did a quick BBB check on this website and could not find any data. I then entered the website name in Google and Yahoo answers and could not find any negative information.
If you are interested in an opportunity with this company, be sure to do a thorough check as some of those businesses are not cheap.
In terms of a directory for work from home computer business you can visit our main page at http://www.xtradosh.com/. There are very good work from home computer businesses listed there. The range is quite varied, so you should be able to find something you can get stuck into.
Whether or not you find an opportunity that peaks your interest, you can sign up for the newsletter to receive, tips, tricks and techniques that could help you choose or manage your business.
As a final option you can visit the Work at Home top 10. This site offers useful information to help you choose between a home based business and the other types on the market.
The above mentioned sites are just the ones I liked and you may or may not agree with the selections but the good thing is there are loads of opportunities on the internet.
Search wisely, do your research, and sooner or later you’ll find the right business for you.

If you don’t think you can make a living working from home, you probably just don’t understand how many different opportunities are available. There are work from home careers for everyone–regardless of their education, training or experience.
Let’s look at a few different work from home careers in order to illustrate just how many great options are out there.
Are you good with code? Have a knack for writing handy scripts? Consider working as a freelance programmer. Good coders are always in high demand from webmasters who might have top-notch marketing skills while lacking the programming skills necessary to bring it all together.
Do you have a way with words? Freelance writers can make a killing online. This is just another of many work from home careers that involve insolating one’s talents and marketing them to those doing business online. Good writers stay busy and make money every day.
Are you good with design? Here’s another work from home option that might work for you. People are willing to pay good money for quality website and graphical design. If you can build a spectacular template or an eye-catching custom site, you might be able to build a career from your kitchen table.
How’s your keyboarding? Work from home careers in online data entry jobs are available to those with a knack for typing and an eye for accuracy. Businesses love finding data entry specialists who can get the job done from home.
Feel like selling? There are literally thousands of work from home careers in the Internet marketing industry. People are selling physical and digital products in record numbers and they’re making good money doing it! Those with marketing savvy and strong creativity can do well in this field.
We could keep going all day! There are so many different work from home careers online that we’d never be able to catch up with all of them in a single blog post.
These five examples, however, clearly illustrate just how broad the selection of options is right now and why anyone interested in escaping the nine-to-five workforce should be able to find a work at home path that will pay huge dividends!

A good place to start looking for work from home accounting jobs is at Elance.com. You are required to pay a fee to register for the bookkeeping and accounting category, but once you have access, you can choose from hundreds of projects which can be done from the comfort of your home.
Elance operates a posting and bidding market place as well as a review and feedback service. As you accept jobs online and get feedback, the more your reputation grows. Once the feedback that you get is positive you’d find it easier to attract the quality of clients you want to work with.
This is a pretty good option as the membership protects both the vendor and yourself. The Elance team acts as middlemen to ensure the bidding and payments are all on the up and up.
The next useful site for work from home accounting jobs is At-homeworks. This website lists a sample of the type of accounting jobs available once you sign up for one of their membership programs. The good thing is that you have a choice between a two week, one month, six month and lifetime options. This includes automatic updates.
There is also useful information on what qualifications and experience is normally required for the work from home accounting jobs they have listed on their website.
Another site I came across is http://www.freelanceworkexchange.com/. This site is quite similar to Elance in that to access listings you must be a member.
Member benefits include:
- Access to the new jobs which are posted daily
- Access to tips and resources
- Relevant news and updates
- Video tutorials
There is a 7-day trial offer, so you can test the content of the website before you shell out any funds.
As a final option you can visit http://www.workathomeincome.com/. This website has many work from home opportunities including accounting roles. Again, your paid membership is required.
There isn’t a section that shows a sample of the type of jobs on offer, so joining their program could be seen as buying blindly. Try to find out, if at all possible, the quality of their listings and their success in matching jobs with their membership of freelancers before you part with your $40.
If you are interested in diversifying your work from home options, spend a bit of time looking through the directory on the main page http://www.xtradosh.com/. There may be something there that interests you.

Who wouldn’t love to trade the hassle and expense of their daily commute to work for the comfort of their own home?
Who wouldn’t love to find a way to make money from home while maintaining a schedule that really works for them?
Who wouldn’t enjoy having the opportunity to work for a variety of different companies, keeping things fresh and exciting?
Who wouldn’t want a way to generate a strong income without the difficulties of office politics, annoying co-workers and lousy managers?
Based on the continued popularity of online data entry jobs, very few people’s jobs match the descriptions above.
Every day, more and more people search out (and find) online data entry jobs in hopes of discovering an enjoyable and lucrative career path.
The good news is that the overall number of available data entry jobs for would-be tele-commuters continues to grow. Businesses are rapidly learning that a “virtual workforce” of data entry specialists can be an incredibly helpful asset.
Businesses who advertise work-at-home online data entry jobs love having a large pool of possible applicants from which to draw, instead of being forced to rely upon local talent alone.
They also appreciate the ability to reduce expenses and overhead by avoiding the need to maintain additional office space.
Finding temporary workers also offers tremendous flexibility for smaller, short-term projects.
Work-at-home solutions are a win/win situation. Employees relish the opportunity to avoid “going to the office” and the perks associated with the tele-commuting lifestyle. Employers love the cost-savings, efficiency and flexibility of finding data entry specialists via the Internet.

Millions of people would love to work from home. Unfortunately, a high percentage of those who dream of building their own business never get started. They simply don’t know where to start. Work at home business decisions can be difficult.
Let’s look at a few initial factors one should take into account when investigating home business options.
First, make sure the opportunities that interest you are legitimate. Although there are literally thousands of workable work at home business options, there are also some disreputable scams and bogus offers. Anyone with an interest in working from home needs to do their homework right from the start.
Second, one should be certain of their personal commitment before making a start. Work at home business does offer a great deal of flexibility and income potential, but it also requires time, effort and a willingness to dedicate oneself to success.
Before you get too deep into your consideration of a great-looking business opportunity, assess your real interest and dedication levels carefully.
Third, one must prepare himself or herself to make any required financial commitment to the opportunity. Many otherwise perfect work at home business ideas fall flat due to underfunding. Although many opportunities are incredibly inexpensive, others may require a higher level of commitment.
One should choose an option that actually fits with his or her financial situation.
With all of the different opportunities and so much conflicting information about work at home businesses, it’s not surprising that so many people fail to get the ball rolling. Although you can make a great deal of money after you start, work at home business decisions are often challenging. Fortunately, the right approach can make things easier.

Every year, thousands of people try to start their own work at home businesses. Many of them succeed, some beyond their wildest dreams. Others struggle to stay afloat. Some fail miserably.
There’s one secret to work from home business success that explains why many new entrepreneurs “make it happen” while others are back in the traditional workforce in record time.
The secret? It’s all in the system.
The old saying argues that, “There’s no reason to re-invent the wheel.” Truer words were never spoken, particularly when it comes to operating a home business. There’s no reason for a new entrepreneur to strike out on his or her own blindly, planning to “figure it out” as he or she goes.
That might’ve made sense decades ago when finding the keys to entrepreneurial success was a tough job.
Today, the growth of awesome work at home business opportunities and the explosive popularity of the Internet puts a variety of great systems and business models right in front of those who’d like to start their own successful businesses.
If you can find a basic model that’s been proven to work, you’ve already won half of the battle for success. You’ll have a blueprint that shows you how to construct and grow your business. You won’t have to worry about missing critical steps or screwing up important parts of the process.
You’ll have the information you need to do it the right way and will be able to learn from those who’ve already “been there and done that.”
On the other hand. If you want to find work from home business success all on your own, you’ll be fighting an uphill battle. You may miss crucial details or waste time and energy in places when a more experienced hand might have directed you to better alternatives.
Not every online work at home business is perfect for every entrepreneur. However, those who find a workable, proven system and embrace it are far more likely to hit pay dirt from those who try to “reinvent the wheel.”
If you’re interested in making a living online, take advantage of all the information that’s out there at your disposal. It’s your best hope to experiencing rapid and meaningful success.

If you are searching for genuine work from home jobs every offer on the internet seems to be viable. This is because no one advertises their opportunity as anything other than genuine.
Evaluating work from home jobs calls for caveat emptor (let the buy beware). You must take all the necessary steps to research and assess any business or job opportunity before purchasing or entering into agreement.
Before I list the work from home jobs that I came across, here are some tips on how to evaluate offers you see on the internet,
- Search the website for a physical/street address, telephone number etc. anything to indicate that the business really exists.
- Carry out a Better Business Bureau search to see if any negative information comes up on the company.
- Think of some questions to ask and call the number and chat to a live person, get a feel for the company.
- In your search engine type in the business or opportunity followed by the word scam, this should attract any negative feedback if any is available.
- Use forums like yahoo answers to ask questions about the opportunity.
With that in mind, the following sites have produced some seemingly authentic offers, but you won’t know for sure until you do the in depth checks.
I have covered both employed jobs that can be done from home as well as work at home business opportunities, I hope this helps.
Interjobs Connect
This website connects companies who advertise work at home jobs to candidates searching for them. You can post your resume online for companies to view just as any other recruitment website. Membership is required before you can post your resume and fees start at $29.95.
Web Momz
Despite the name, this website is not limited to moms only; they offer resources to people new to internet businesses as well as seasoned entrepreneurs. This site has a lot of recommendations from known people and organizations which is always a plus in favor of the authenticity.
Type at home
With this program you are required to write keyword specific ads like the ones displayed along the right hand column of Google.
The pay rate ranges from $25 - $50 per ad and full training is provided, so you can be up and running in no time.

In this article on free work from home opportunities, my aim is to point you to some specific areas, as well as some directories that you can utilize in order to choose a business that suits your needs.
As you are already here, have a look at the directory on our main page http://www.xtradosh.com/.
As with any directory you’ll have to go through the different programs and choose one based on your needs.
Free vs. Paid
You may or may not notice, but most of the work from home opportunities on the Internet carry a fee. The majority have fees of less than $100 and offer a minimum of 30 days guarantee. Should you sign up for a program and realize it is not what you expected, you can always request a full refund. So don’t restrict your searches to free work from home opportunities only, as you just might miss a program that is tailor made for you.
Search a Targeted Term
If you have already identified what you like and want to do, it is worth searching for a more specific term than ‘free work from home opportunities’. If for example you like typing then search ‘free work from home typing opportunities’. This would provide a narrower and more targeted result list which would save you time and effort.
I know that you might not be sure which type of business to get involved in, but you should try to make a list of what you can see yourself enjoying and what you are actually able to commit to.
Some free work from home opportunities I saw online are listed below. You should check out the quality and authenticity of any program before you join.
This is just a small handful of what is available on the net. As stated earlier you would be swamped with many many results if your search term is too broad. Take some time to list the type of jobs you want and begin a new targeted search. This way you will find what you are looking for much faster.

One of the first results I got for my search term ‘envelope stuffing work from home’ was a Federal Trade Commission (FTC) scam report at about.com. The site lists some important questions you should ask regarding any envelope stuffing type offer, along with things you should know about the industry.
It is worth checking this out as it is a good guide on how to evaluate and choose an envelope stuffing work from home opportunity.
One website that peaked my interest, and which was mentioned in a previous posting, is Home mailing jobs. With this program the earning options are twofold in that you are paid $5 for every circular you mail as well as 75% commission for each sale generated from your mailings.
You do not need to pay for stamps or postage so this seems to be a good offer.
The other thing I liked about this program was the 12 free bonuses offered with your purchase. I just love informative freebies and if they could help me in my quest to financial freedom, then bring it on.
It goes without saying that you should do your due diligence and research this company and make sure everything they offer is legit. Use sites like Better Business Bureau or do a general search on the company and see what results you find.
I found this website in Google and the ad stated ‘the joys of envelope stuffing’. I found this quite intriguing because joy is not a word I would link to envelope stuffing at all. I visited the website and found information explaining that companies face far less cost if they use a machine to do the mail posting. It begs to question why jobs existed for human envelope stuffing. Read the article at homeworking.com and see what you think.
Although it is a play on word, try searching ‘work from home mailing jobs’ instead of ‘envelope stuffing work from home’ jobs. The results you get from the latter search term are more negative as they highlight a lot of scams and bad experiences. The former term would give you some pretty decent results. (I should mention that the Home mailing job website I mentioned earlier was found using the term ‘work from home mailing jobs’)
If you decide not to pursue an envelope stuffing work from home opportunity then check out our directory of work from home opportunities at www.xtradosh.com.
